What is it
If you are selling your home you must have a HIP.
You must commission the HIP before your property is marketed and you are responsible for the cost.
The HIP provides information about your property including details of the Legal Title, Local and Water searches and an Energy Performance Certificate.
The intention of the HIP is to provide information ‘upfront’ to a buyer and so reduce the time delay between the acceptance of an offer and a legally binding contract. In practice (and for many reasons) this is rarely effective.
How can we help?
We can produce your HIP at a very competitive rate and we work with all the local agents to enable you to market your property immediately.
You can either pay for your HIP upfront or use our deferred terms facility. Also payment by credit or debit card will soon be available.
For payment upfront (or by credit or debit card), the current total cost of a HIP including the Energy Performance Certificate is £260 (inc. vat). There are no hidden extras.
Alternatively, you can defer payment for up to ten months in which case the cost starts at £394 for a freehold property and £434 for a Leasehold property (inc. vat).
